ANGELA E. GALLO, RM
Usui/Holy Fire® III, Karuna Reiki® Master Teacher Practitioner
Animal Reiki Master
HeartMath® Certified Practitioner
I believe everyone can benefit from Reiki. Since receiving my first Reiki treatment, my life has improved in ways I could not have foreseen or imagined. I have experienced deep emotional healing through the Reiki treatments, attunements and instruction I have received to become an Usui/Holy Fire® III, Karuna® Reiki Master. It is my deepest wish to help others by empowering the healer within through Reiki.
I was first attuned to Usui/Holy Fire® Reiki in June of 2017 by Reiki Master, Melinda Kaur. Melinda encouraged me to practice and teach.
I completed my Usui/Holy Fire® II Reiki Master training with Melinda in July of 2018. I was ready to make the leap from giving friends and family treatments to being a professional Reiki practitioner. I wanted to demonstrate my commitment as a Reiki practitioner and teacher by meeting the requirements for professional membership in the Reiki Membership Association. In August of 2018, I repeated the Reiki I & II and Master classes with Colleen Benelli, a Senior Professional Licensed Reiki Master Teacher for the International Center for Reiki Training. I benefited from new layers of emotional and spiritual healing in Colleen’s classes while getting to experience the style of another teacher. In January of 2019, I was certified as a Holy Fire® III Karuna Reiki® Master by Colleen. I am truly grateful to my teachers, Melinda and Colleen, and to Reiki for this incredible gift I have been given.
Reiki guided me to study Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy (BCST). In BCST, the primary healing energy is referred to as “The Breath of Life.” As with Reiki, BCST is a light touch healing modality that promotes the body’s own natural ability to heal itself by releasing patterns created by physical and emotional trauma. BCST facilitates the intrinsic reorganization of the body’s tissue, fluid matrix and energetic pathways. There is no direct manipulation in a BCST session. I completed my foundational training with notable teachers Marianne D’Amore, Mary Ganzon and Ryan Halford in British Columbia, March 2020.
My goal in studying BCST was to enhance my skills as a Reiki practitioner. While becoming proficient in Biodynamics, I gained a felt sense of the body as well as an understanding of anatomy and embryology. The body wants to be heard without judgement and without intention. I learned to interpret what the client’s body wants to tell me in its own time, at its own pace. I learned how to listen to the body, to witness its inherent health and honor its innate wisdom. In all of my sessions with clients, I incorporate the techniques and felt sense acquired through my training in Biodynamics to complement Holy Fire® Reiki’s spiritually guided healing energy.
Our journey is one that never ends. My journey is one that requires a life of learning through continued training, studying the teachings of those that have come before, meditation and dedication to my spiritual path. My calling is to empower the healer within us all through my Reiki practice and by teaching Reiki to those who are called to join me.
All of the information I present on this web site, I gained through my training with Melinda Kaur (Kirkland, WA) and Colleen Benelli (Portland, OR), as well as my personal studies through the writings of William Lee Rand and other Reiki Masters. I am a Professional Member of the International Center for Reiki Training's Reiki Membership Association and abide by the established Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice.

ABOUT REIKI
A Very Brief History of Usui/Holy Fire® Reiki
Reiki means "spiritually guided life force energy." It is this energy the Reiki practitioner channels during a Reiki treatment. The practitioner's own energy is not involved or passed on to the client.
In 1922, Mikao Usui was meditating on Mount Kurama, a sacred mountain north of Kyoto, seeking enlightenment. After 21 days, Usui Sensei was spontaneously attuned to Reiki. He then began healing and teaching others, passing on the ability to channel Reiki. Reiki was brought to the West by Mrs. Hawayo Takata. She taught 22 Reiki Masters (in the Reiki tradition, Master means "Teacher").
As Usui Sensei intended, Reiki continued to evolve over time. There are many styles, lineages and schools of Reiki. All Reiki energy comes from the same source. The specific style is simply a way to organize the use of Reiki.
In 2014, William Lee Rand, founder of the International Center for Reiki Training, introduced Holy Fire® Reiki to Usui Reiki. "Holy" does not have a religious meaning in this connotation. In this usage of Holy Fire, "holy" means "whole" or "complete." Although Reiki is not associated with any religion, it can be used in one's spiritual development. However, you do not have to be spiritual or religious to benefit from Reiki.
If you are open to receiving Reiki energy or taking a class, then it will work for you. If you are looking for a Reiki teacher or practitioner, whoever you choose will be the right one for you.
